The Community Asked and BYV Answered
Our 15-week Homeschool Theatre Project brings together a diverse group of youth from the Central Ohio area to to creatively share their personal and communal stories. Youth will be guided through the elements of theatre including acting, writing, storytelling, movement and technical theatre. Youth artists will be introduced to the full theatre process, including auditions, theatre games and exercises, creation and development of a show, rehearsals and then a final showing for an audience culminating the experience.
The Homeschool Theatre Project is our first paid participation project and it benefits a great cause. Fifty percent of the proceeds directly fund the Norma Scholarship which supports a college-bound senior who has participated in BYV projects for 3 consecutive years.
